Orthodontics is a specialized discipline of dentistry that concentrates on the proper alignment of teeth and jaw bones to improve appearance and dental health. At Smile Spa, we offer two options for teeth alignment: conventional straight wire braces and Invisalign® (invisible braces). Both will achieve optimal results, but Invisalign’s® invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners will give you the beautiful straight teeth you’ve always wanted with the added advantage that no one can tell you’re wearing them. Invisalign® is ideal for teenagers and adults (not generally recommended for younger children).
Invisalign® uses a series of clear, removable aligners to straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets and has been proven effective in clinical research and in orthodontic practices nationwide.
You wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. An average of 18-30 graduated aligners (depending on each individual case) will be used throughout the course of the total treatment.
As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move little by little, week by week, until they have straightened to their final position.
You’ll visit us about once every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.
For your additional convenience, aligners are made right in our lab at Smile Spa using the very latest in 3-D computer imaging technology.
